By passing hollow glass through the body, the refraction and lens effects of the material blur its contours and distort its form.
In contemporary society, our bodies are often unconsciously shaped by the values of others and guided toward a prescribed notion of beauty.
Through the act of transforming the body with glass, this work seeks to deconstruct the idealized image of the body constructed by society and to reconsider it from one’s own perspective.
中空のガラスを身体に通すことで、ガラスの屈折やレンズ効果によって輪郭を曖昧にし、形を歪ませている。
現代社会の中で、私たちの身体はいつの間にか他者の価値観によって形づくられ、“美しさの正解”へと導かれていく。
その中で、ガラスという素材を通して身体を変化させる行為は、社会が描く理想の身体像を一度解体し、自らの視点から再び見つめ直す試みである。
